Free swimming, skating on Family Day
Monday February 16, 2009
- Brampton Guardian
Many city recreation centres will offer free swimming, skating, shinny hockey and family fitness programs Monday for Family Day.
The city is also offering special programs and pricing on several other programs where drop-in fees apply.
For a full list, check with the individual centres, visit www.brampton.ca/familyday or call 905-874-2300.
South Fletcher\'s SportsPlex will host an open house Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., as part of the city\'s Get Active Brampton campaign. Residents can sample all the amenities at the Ray Lawson Boulevard centre free, including dance and youth programs, fitness, skating and swimming.
Brampton City Hall will be closed Monday, which will mean several services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.
The Small Business Enterprise Centre and the city\'s parks and recreation office will also be closed.
Brampton Transit will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule, but transit stores will be shut. For more, call 905-874-2999 or visit www.bramptontransit.com.
Fire, snow removal, works yards and bylaw enforcement services will all operate at regular weekday levels on Family Day.
