Portion of Heart Lake Road to close in January

he Region of Peel is advising the public that construction work will see Heart Lake Road, from Mayfield Road to Countryside Drive, closed in early January.
Detours will take place
The road closures are slated to take place Jan. 2 to Jan. 18 and only local traffic will be permitted to travel on Heart Lake Road north of Countryside Drive and south of Mayfield Road.
Peel will utilize paid duty police to supervise the closure and will post detours on Countryside Drive, Dixie Road and Mayfield Road.
Construction in the city's north end will allow for the completion of Mayfield Road - Stage One, region officials say.
FCM Construction will carry out the works on Mayfield Road, on behalf of the region, between Inder Heights and Heart Lake Road.
All emergency services and school boards will be notified in advance of the closure.
